A journey where educators and youth workers discovered how creativity can guide and transform the way we learn, teach, and connect.
21/09/2025 – 29/09/2025 · Kolín, Czechia

At the end of September, youth workers, educators, and facilitators from across Europe gathered in Kolín, Czechia for the Erasmus+ training course “Creative Compass.” Hosted in a supportive and inspiring environment, the training aimed to guide participants on a journey of discovering creativity as a compass for effective facilitation and inclusive learning.
🧭 About the Training
“Creative Compass” was designed to empower youth workers, teachers, and educators to navigate the dynamic world of non-formal education. The course combined theory and practice, encouraging participants to explore how creativity can serve as a tool for learning, self-expression, and inclusion.
Throughout the program, participants engaged in a variety of interactive workshops that blended graphic facilitation, visual storytelling, and creative design methods. These activities provided both inspiration and hands-on experience, helping participants translate abstract ideas into visual and engaging learning moments.
🎯 Training Objectives
The main goals of the “Creative Compass” training course were to:
- Explore the concept of creativity within non-formal education.
- Equip participants with innovative methods and tools for designing and facilitating educational activities.
- Introduce and practice visual methods, with a special focus on graphic facilitation, to enhance learning processes.
- Provide a safe and supportive space for participants to develop their own creative educational sessions.

🎨 Learning by Doing
The participants didn’t just learn about creative facilitation—they practiced it. Through team projects, reflection sessions, and experiential learning, they transformed theory into action. The use of visual tools, such as sketchnotes, infographics, and collaborative design boards, allowed them to discover new ways to make learning more inclusive, memorable, and fun.

🌈 Impact and Inspiration
By the end of the training, participants left Kolín not only with new skills and methods, but also with a deeper understanding of the power of creativity in education. Many expressed that “Creative Compass” gave them fresh motivation to bring innovation and joy into their daily work with young people and communities.
