KA2 Strategic Partnership PEPAR - Play, Engage, Participate

Learning Faster through Educational Games

Are you a youth worker who wants to increase the youth participation in social and political life? Do you like gaming activities? Do you prefer to implement non formal education? Are you into having fun while learning? Read about our project and play all the games developed within this Partnership (possible to download at the bottom of this article).

During last two years we (Cefig, Czechia) were developing and therefore testing educational games in cooperation with other three organisations from Poland (YoWo), Spain (Las Ninas), and Denmark (Søholm 4H).

We increased the competences of youth workers and NGO’s in the field of youth participation, its levels, challenges and strategies as well as we helped them by creating guides which will enable educators to easily use specific tools in their daily work. By organising several activities and events we managed to share and present our new educational games and gamification methodology in participating countries and among our network in the EU.

We implemented two training courses, four 1–day seminars hosted in all four countries and four multiplication events. Results? Creation of three gamified educational tools on Youth Participation: a digital game, a board game, and a set of four smaller games ready to use and accompanied by guidelines in national languages; raising competences of youth workers; promoting Youth Participation and Active Citizenship among target groups; promoting NFE and Gamification as strong educational methods.

Thanks to this long-term international cooperation and developed gaming tools huge potential of our new educational games will be used for the next decades.
